"As I have been a working mother with three children I appreciate the difficulties of reconciling parenthood with a working life.
Flying Start Day Nurseries are my response to parents who need a secure, reliable and stable environment for their children while they combine a family with a career.
Many people find it hard at first to leave their child in the care of others, but I feel the opportunities provided in a caring and loving nursery will soon dispel these fears, leaving parents able to relax and enjoy their work.
Flying Start aims not only to provide quality day care but also to give the children quality nursery education. My career in teaching began over 20 years ago, and in that time I have taught in a number of state and independent schools. My posts have covered the complete infant/junior age range, and I have also taught pre-school children. I have been Head of an infant department, complete with its own nursery; and my training and experience in teaching children with specific learning difficulties has deepened my understanding of the basic learning processes children need to acquire.
Flying Start Nursery Barnesmead opened in September 1994, and in December 1995 we were delighted to open a purpose-built, nine-place baby unit. The aim of the baby unit, like that of our main nursery, is to provide your children with the best quality nursery care, in a stimulating environment which will enable them to develop and reach their full potential.
Flying Start Nursery Moorlands opened in November 1999 in order to meet the demands of our waiting list. The aims and philosophy of Moorlands Nursery is exactly the same as that of Barnesmead Nursery and children are fed from a central waiting list.
At Flying Start Nurseries, we feel that the nurseries and baby units will give the special children you entrust to us a caring, loving and stimulating flying start!
