Toddler Unit
Children are moved into the toddler room when they are confident and ready for their next stage of development. Each child's progress is monitored and
recorded on a regular basis.
Activities are age related and match the child's ability. The curriculum continues on the Birth To Three Framework and emphasis is put on the child's language development which in turn gives access to the wider curriculum.
The day is divided up into structured and child initiated activities. There is plenty of time for free and outside play. The unit has direct access into the garden.
The unit has a nappy changing area and toilet and the children usually begin potty training when they are ready.
After lunch sleep mats allow the children to sleep and rest before the afternoon session begins.
